Lovely bakery specialising in Chinese and Japanese bakery. Affordable, delicious, and very clean. First time I ever had a Chinese bakery, and it's great. I often revisit, and the kids love it.

10/10; 5/5. So many delicious baked goods. Good price. Been here since the 2000s that used to be just called “Wah Kee Bakery” until merged or renamed w/ Hey Sugar but Wah Kee Bakery still exists but just under Hey Sugar which renovated years ago. I ordered a cake here 1 time back in 2022, just everything in this establishment is top notch delicious, not too overly sweet unlike other bakeries in the UK, because of course this is an Asian bakery. It’s better to arrive here early in the morning because late at night, the items here run out quick.

The pandan cake was amazing, amazing value for money. The drinks were sublime. We chose mango and coconut milk and a passion fruit. Absolutely delicious ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Came here for egg tarts and it did not disappoint. Although I haven't been here for years, this is the place we have always gone. You put what you want on the tray and take it to the checkout where they will box it up for you. Service was fine, no issues

You can’t leave Chinatown without panic buying all the buns 🤤🥮 It’s hard to find bakeries around town, so I grabbed all the buns I could when I found a Chinese bakery hehe🏮🙋🏻‍♀️ 1. Wife cake 2. Coconut bun 3. Roast pork bun

Wheelchair accessibility
Step-free to get in with a wheelchair, it has the smallest lip so only a subtle jolt to get into the bakery. So long it's not busy, it's easy to move around the shop floor

Piping hot egg tart. Reasonably priced. Delicious. Reminds me of home. Gotta get this if you are Asian and checking out Birmingham!

Hands down the best bubble tea in Birmingham! I had the Kuan Yin Charcoal tea. It came with jelly which was new and unexpected but it was so delicious. Almost better than bubbles. They also have amazing authentic pastries and cakes here. If you’re coming to Chinatown, you’ve got to come here!

Nice little bakery, thought I would pop in as I was walking past. I picked up some egg tarts, almond cookies, cheesecake and cream roll; they were nice and tasty. Will be back again!

Not sure what happened to all the old cakes that used to be served? The 5 stars was for the fresh cakes that were sold over the last 20 years, I've yet to try the new cakes as it's changed over ownership, I hope they're just as good.
